A client once said of Jason:
What’s your approach?
As a client you are most likely looking for a combination of factors from your preferred legal counsel, including obtaining some ‘added value’. Therefore for you it is more than just simply sourcing a lawyer: you’re looking for a legal partner.
Your matter is important and requires completion in a way that works best for you. However each client works differently. In order to help me better understand your preferred approach, please identify 2 preferences from the following list that is most important to you for your particular matter:
- to conclude the matter in a tight timeframe or prior to a looming deadline (urgency);
- to complete the matter in a cost-effective way (low cost);
- to pay special attention to your matter, which is particularly important and requires specific consideration (valuable).
Consider which of the following is critical to enable the successful conclusion of your particular matter or project:
- Efficiency: the need for someone who is able to deal with challenging projects without causing further complication or headache for you.
- Approachability: the need for a personal touch and being able to get on with you and your colleagues, who has an understanding of your business, your challenges, as well as opportunities within your sector.
- Availability: needing someone who is always around when you want them even after your matter has concluded.
- Support: your desire to receive clear, tangible, and pragmatic options to compliment your commercial outlook, that in turn can be effectively communicated to your team enabling a definitive and actionable plan, or that simply provides you with the solution you want.
- Experience: to have someone who has worked in your industry or sector who has successfully concluded the particular matter you need support for.
- Urgency: not only recognising that it is your timelines that are important and working with you to achieve those deadlines, but being up-to-date, pro-active, and keeping an eye on the horizon for you.
- QWAN: you may have an idea of some other quality you are specifically looking for…
